How To Remove Pesticides From Non-Organically Grown Produce (Important)

Most of what is grown today is treated with pesticides. It is not healthy for our environment, and it also affect people’s health.

Organic farms and processors are not allowed to use ingredients that are genetically modified. Organic food mustn’t include banned substances and synthetic materials, such as pesticides and antibiotics.

On the other side, conventional food is not restricted in this way. It can be genetically modified, sprayed with pesticides and injected with antibiotics.

Today, children are much sicker than generations before. Many children suffer from cancer, autism, birth defects, asthma, childhood diseases and disorders. Moreover, all these conditions are on the rise. Most importantly, pesticides are to blame.

Combine a tablespoon of lemon juice, a cup of water and 2 tablespoons of baking soda. Mix the ingredients and wait for the baking soda to dissolve. Then, pour the mixture in a spray bottle. Spray the mixture on your fruits and vegetables and let it sit for 5-10 minutes before rinsing them off.

Another option is to use vinegar and water. Fill your sink with 4 parts water and 1 part vinegar. Keep your fruits or vegetables in the solution for about an hour and then rinse off. You can eat them immediately or store them.

This is how a usual mixture would look like:

Produce Wash 1:

  • A tablespoon of baking soda
  • 1 cup of white vinegar
  • 1 cups of water
  • 20 drops of grapefruit seed extract
  • Spray bottle

Produce Wash 2:

  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon of white vinegar
  • 1 cup water
